No more needs to be said. I agree 100%. Short term it makes a difference. Long term Clay will be the bigger star.

I agree 1000% with you and yardstick. Clay is already counting his money. Rueben is a good singer with limited range. His stamina is questionable and I've heard there are health concerns. He's a dime a dozen, but he'll get fat(pun intended)on his 15 minutes. Clay can write his own ticket. He can sing a little of everything well. He tries a little too hard to oscillate his voice because that's the current fad, but boy got some lungs. I'd bet he's already got a fleet of lawyers checking out whether to accept IA recording offer if he wins or go elsewhere.

It really doesn't matter to me who wins (Ok, I'll be happier if it's Clay). But the only CD I'm going to buy will be what Clay puts forth -- and he WILL definitely knock peoples' socks off with that voice of his.

Clay will be the long-term winner from this competition
