Agree -- Clay, all the way!

Why do you think that?

Calling here from the west coast of Ohio, I only managed to get through (to vote for Clay) 5 times in 3 hours of trying constantly. Lots of no dial tone times, etc.

I like both, prefer Clay just a bit. Is it just me, or does Ruben sound a little "raspy" lately??????
To: WatchOutForSnakes
I'm not watching- but my sister has from the beginning and I've heard ALL about it.
It's a 'no brainer'--white female wins first contest.
Black male wins this one.
Either way, both have had massive public exposure and will get started on careers somewhere because of it.

Clay's mannerisms crack me up. My wife and I were watching last night, and I can feel one of his eyeblinks coming on. My wife was busting out laughing as I called one coming, only to be rewarded by one 2 seconds later.
Simon has dissed/kidded him about it a bit too.
To: CarmelValleyite
No, it isn't just you. I think his vocal cords have been abused to the point of hurting his sound.
But he's doing well in this song!!!

And although the judges gave Clay some praise for his last number, they weren't overly enthusiastic about his first two, even though he clearly sang as well, if not better than Ruben. Heard today that one of the tabloids is carrying an article that Clay had e-mailed a friend telling him the show was fixed. True or not...it certainly could be.

Clay won the State of New York ??
They go by states??

I think he sounds horrible right now. I can feel Karen Carpenter spinning in her grave.

I just asked my husband if they were going to do this like a Presidential election and if so, how much would he like to bet they crack a Florida voter joke.

Now I know what's wrong with my wrist today; it was that frenetic dialing of the phone for CLAY last night!!!
To: redlipstick
But, wow, listen to Kimberley - what a voice!

I can feel Karen Carpenter spinning in her grave. If Mama Cass Elliot had given that ham sandwich to Karen Carpenter, she would have saved two lives that day.
