"Honest misunderstanding". Yeah, right.

If you believe that, I have a big bridge in New York I'd like to sell you. Really cheap.

"It was never our intention to mislead anyone," Leljedal said Tuesday. "We only intended to demonstrate the firepower of assault weapons in general."

Manure.

Too bad we don't get to read the full article. Looks like it would have been interesting.

This Broward County scum is why we have to get the Feds out of the local law enforcement business. The influence of the fed pigs on local LEO's is pervasive and not good for america. ... X mil here for seat belt enforcement, y mil there for DUI enforcement, z mil there for drug busts and on and on it goes ....

The feds are not stupid. They know this buys souls. Looks like they got their money's worth in Broward County.

How about an ethics committee gets together and fires the sherriff for being a liar
He lies with such ease...wonder what else he lies about...
How can a man be the highest law enforcement offical in his country ...be an officer of the court and be a liar...
The truth is not in this man...which makes him not only a liabilty but given his job title ...but also very very dangerous...and untrustworthy in all things imo

"Honest misunderstanding?"

That's an indication of the Broward County Sheriff's Department's idea of "honesty," I guess.

"Sheriff" Jenne:
Former (Fla.) Senate Dimocratic Leader
Selected (not elected) by Gov. Lawton Chiles to be sheriff of Broward Cty
"Bachelor's degree in political science from Florida Atlantic University" - in underwater basket-weaving, no doubt

Jenne tried outlaw "assault rifles" in broward a few years back. He held a town hall meeting which had 2nd ammendment supporters filling the hall and surrounding the building. He is after all an elected official.

He is a media prostitue, he will go with the cameras. I am surprised however that he went to CNN given the credibility deficit they have. I would not put much stock in him at this point. He does bear keeping an eye on for election purposes.

The media regularly practices these sorts of deceptions when 'reporting' on firearms, yet this is the first time I can think of that they have been exposed for lying. Is this an anomaly, or a sign of change?

I rarely watch CNN, but happened to catch both the original report and then Wayne LaPierre's brilliant offensive against the CNN bimbot. This is truly LaPierre's finest hour...putting the media completely on the defensive. Let's build on this while we still have momentum.

"It was never our intention to mislead anyone," Leljedal said Tuesday. "We only intended to demonstrate the firepower of assault weapons in general."

So who provided the blanks for the firing of the legal assault rifle? Sheriff Ken-Ken or CNN? A frame by frame analysis by the Media Research Center showed NO muzzle flashes coming out of the legal rifle.
