It's astonishing, isn't is Gerish? Just a perfectly innocent 'hello' as well, and I'm not even on the market.

They always assume that we are hitting on them, which isn't necessarily the case.

Southack makes a very good point though - going to bars etc. is not the place to meet a woman, at least one that's worth having - I try to convince my single friends (both men and wommen) to join a club, get some excercise, play a sport, take a class. But they're too tied into the bar lifestyle, and it's likely why they, too, find themselves single. Alas, even the ones at the gym are too busy primping themselves in the mirror to allow a man the 'privelege' to say 'hello'.

I don't envy my single mates, that's for sure.

I like being in a solid relationship because, as a man, you can finally walk around eye-flirt with women or simply be kind and polite and not CARE what they think!

Oh, some might assume you "want" them, but I think I have a different approach and different air when I go to a club or bar now that I'm attached. I just go and hang with friends. Oh i LOOK around sometimes, but I love not feeling I "should" go up to the girl who keeps looking in my direction, or be nicer than I want to be to the girl who thinks because she's got a vagina I'm supposed to let her cut in line.

I did make an exception on dancing, something I don't normally do with other women, for a girl who was wearing a small wedding train at the club. She was getting married the next week or day and I danced with her and shook her hand and wished her well for her future. It feels SO much better to deal with women when you aren't confused or worried about the 'other' stuff being part of the equation.
