It seems all sides have ignored the fact that the US boycott is grass roots, not government-sponsored and not government-controlled. France insulted the American people and the people are appropriately avoiding things French...something the State Dept can do little about.

No, Glenn Beck had talked about it on the radio, and he is on Clear Channel, and Bush knows one of the top executives at Clear Channel, so, this 'boycott' was Bush inspired.
