Am I missing something here?
In order to understand how the NY Times destroyed Jayson's career, and turned him into
a "helpless victim" about to cash in bigtime, we've managed to get a copy of the
NY Times journalistic credo:
1. Capitalism creates oppression and government creates opportunity.
2. Traditional gender roles are artificial but feminism and homosexuality are government-protected lifestyles.
3. Self-esteem is paramount; government must undertake to guarantee each citizen self-esteem.
4. The NRA is bad, because it defends the Constitution; the ACLU is good, because destroying religion and silencing believers is protected by the Constitution and the First Amendment.
5. Standardized IQ tests are racist; racial quotas and affirmative action are not.
6. Conservatives are racists; everybody knows that black people can't make it on their own without government and Big Media help.
7. Victimhood is preferred over responsible citizenship, because being a victim confers social status, government protection, job preference, network TV appearances, and lucrative book and movie deals.
Am I missing something here?
No....Jayson is.
He thinks that people believe that an Affirmative Action hire means that you have hired somebody who couldn't cut the mustard.
Nope....that's not the problem, Jayson.
The problem is that, because of Affirmative Action programs, you don't know the difference!
Criteria should actually mean something!.
A skilled black doctor from a college that "Celebrates Its Diversity" by passing out unearned diplomas is poorly served....as are the patients who will bypass his talents because of his (unfortunately) tainted accomplishment.
