PHILLIPS: Viewers are speaking out on a segment we aired yesterday concerning the federal ban on assault weapons. The 1994 ban could expire in September 2004 if Congress doesn't extend it.
Now here's a sampling of your viewer e-mail.
From David in Calhoun, Georgia: "It's not the weapon which has the knockdown power, it's the ammo."

Serious Question: Why do you suppose it is that the Left lies all the time? Because old habits are hard to shake. You see, in the pre-Internet days, CNN and the rest of the lamestream press could lie and get away with it most of the time. But with the Internet they are finding that the spotlight of truth exposes their lies for all to see.

So, essentially, Zarella got caught on the hopper and is now scurrying to get his pants up? Let's enjoy the moment...

Yes, we will make mistakes. But those are unwitting mistakes. There must be zero tolerance for deliberate distortions, false reporting and fiction writing in the guise of journalism. They cannot be tolerated. Okay, Wolf---So when is John Zarrella going to be FIRED? According to your OWN GUIDELINES he should be.

So, essentially, Zarella got caught on the hopper and is now scurrying to get his pants up? This THREAD lays out this CNN fraud scandal in a broader scope. Please read it.

Here is a quote from the other thread on this topic that I posted:
Upon looking at the MRC videotape frame by frame, with the first rifle you could see a puff of smoke coming out of the end of the barrel as the deputy fired. But with the second gun, you could not see anything, as if no bullet were being fired.
So what this looks like is that the second rifle probably had blanks. I think this is a SCANDAL as big as NBC purposely blowing up GM pickup truck gas tanks to show how "dangerous" they were. A determination MUST be made to find out if CNN committed fraud by using blanks.

If it turns out that they used blanks in that rifle, this should rank right up their with the Tailwind scandal.

Serious Question: Why do you suppose it is that the Left lies all the time? Good question. Ends justify the means ideology? The Democrat Party being infested with supporters of Stalin but Truman and FDR denying it to save the party? The media never calling liberals on their lies?
Probably goes back further but the Democrat platform of 1932 is an eye-opener. Once FDR got power, he did exactly the opposite of what the party claimed it would do before the election. That worked so well, Democrats held a two to one voter registration advantage over Republicans for decades and held the House for 58 of the next 62 years.

Journalism is not a perfect science. It is often referred to as a first draft of history. And as all of you know, a first draft can occasionally be sloppy. Yes, we will make mistakes. But those are unwitting mistakes. There must be zero tolerance for deliberate distortions, false reporting and fiction writing in the guise of journalism. They cannot be tolerated.
Bovine Feces! For the last 15 years, the whole point of the media was promoting their own agenda, and subjugating the masses into thinking what they wanted them to know. (also known as propaganda)
Alas, with the explosion of the internet, and alternative media outlets, different voices emerge to give a second perspective on events, and only the truly lazy will not search out these alternative media to make their own decisions about events.
Blizer has no concern that people he works with have a bias with their reporting, and how they use their bias to influence the news. He's playing the "good cop" routine to throw up a smokescreen for the viewers, trying to get them to disregard their own indescretions and failures.
It's revolting that they are given a "Get out of Jail" card for all their indescretions, and I hope that these same propagandists (for they are not journalists, because journalists have an ethical duty to keep their bias out of the news) finally see that they are losing the one thing that seperates from The National Enquirer: integrity.
Here's to hoping that their viewers wake up to the crap they've been pushing on the American people.

Yes, we will make mistakes. But those are unwitting mistakes. What about NBC PURPOSELY blowing up the gas tanks of GM Pickup trucks?
What about CNN showing a rifle firing blanks and pretending it was real ammo?

BEAUTIFUL, Wayne, just BEAUTIFUL! Nail those Red-Diaper-Doper-Babies!
This is a classic example of why I refuse to watch CNN. I wouldn't give those commie maggots the time of day.

Thanx but I don't think this story will go anywhere if we just complain to CNN. Other commentators must EXPOSE the FRAUD perpetrated by CNN.
Calling O'Reilly! Calling Hannity! Calling Rush! Calling Drudge!

That's why I made my Bovine Feces comment.
When all you've got is integrity, and that is quite bruised and battered, people who want integrity go elsewhere. Only the lazy and the willing continue to feed from the sloplines.
