IMHO (in my humble opinion) Unhomoginized ©

Norman Liebmann

In my humble opinion, “Jayson Blair” will be revealed as one of many pen names used by Rodney King.

In my humble opinion, if, as politicians are wont to propose that we can just "move on", the lessons of history are irrelevant, and, consequently, “whatever.”

In my humble opinion, all Arabic names sound like clogged up plumbing trying to leave a voice mail message over a cell phone.

In my humble opinion, anyone who ever saw a war movie and felt sorry for anything other than the horses missed the point of the exercise.

In my humble opinion, in the Middle East, along with the food, our Air Force should air-drop forks and spoons to keep the Arabs confused as well as defeated.

In my humble opinion, nothing is more threatening to America than an amnesty mindset.

In my humble opinion, the Holocaust is alive and well and living in the hearts of Frenchmen.

In my humble opinion, Jimmy Carter is living proof there is an age at which senility and servility merge. Folks in Plaines, Georgia, will tell you, “Jimmah” got that way ever since as a boy he was bitten on the neck by a doormat.

In my humble opinion, it would be nice if Juan Williams can be right about something just once so it would be possible to compute his average.

In my humble opinion, rape is the only thing Bill Clinton ever did that was sincerely motivated.

In my humble opinion, medical science should devote its entire resources to a crash program to find a cure for the common enema.

In my humble opinion, diversity will not be achieved despite the Ivy League turning itself into a racial Cuisinart. It is time universities called that agenda by its proper name - Affirmative Contamination.

In my humble opinion, success in diplomacy devolves on an ability to stand still as fast as you can, or stand fast as still as you can.

In my humble opinion, proof of the failure of Affirmative Action is that after four years at Harvard the graduates still talk like Jesse Jackson.

In my humble opinion, our Middle East policy declined after Bill Clinton failed to deliver on his promise to provide every Saudi Prince reaching puberty with his first blond.

In my humble opinion, the French language is actually German badly in need of industrial-strength neosynephrine.

In my humble opinion, there ought to be a sign on every public establishment that reads “No habla political correctness.”

In my humble opinion, people are mistaken who say Michael Jackson looks like a monkey. He doesn’t look enough like a monkey.

In my humble opinion, England, already in decline, is committing faggocide. There is not enough testosterone remaining in the British Empire to produce a single Harry Faversham. (See: “Four Feathers.”)

In my humble opinion, gated communities should not be for the rich, but for the poor – to keep them from getting out among the general population and becoming poorer.

In my humble opinion, it is time to categorize as a chronic mental delusion the widespread notion that the commercials are not any louder than the programs.

In my humble opinion, the Sinai Peninsula was sand when Egypt owned it, sand when the Israelis took it away from them, and sand when they gave it back. Its only strategic value seems to be as a safe place to crush out cigarette butts.

In my humble opinion, the Dixie Chicks should change their name to the Baghdad Bimbos.

In my humble opinion, America got some rocket savvy out of Nazi Werner Von Braun. It got nothing out of Bill Clinton but moral gonorrhea.

In my humble opinion, the 3% of gays and lesbians lusting for political hegemony are not the tail trying to wag the dog, but what’s below the tail trying to wag the nation.

In my humble opinion, in the nuclear age, you won’t get any satisfaction being right, but you can glow in the dark while you’re being wrong.

In my humble opinion, there is something profoundly putrid about Geraldo Rivera using the troops as a theatrical backdrop.

In my humble opinion, socialism has reduced Great Britain to the caricature Gilbert and Sullivan tried for but never quite achieved.

In my humble opinion, if the Bush Administration wants to spin its wheels, it should begin by putting the State Department up on blocks.

In my humble opinion, Bill Richardson is still Clinton’s most subservient lackey. Like a proctologist whose profession makes him rich, Richardson can look up someone’s ass and perceive it as a wishing well.

In my humble opinion, the only redeeming feature of suicide bombers is, any Arab you can pick up with a blotter can’t be all bad.

In my humble opinion, if you go through all the prisons in the United States you’ll see half the Democrats in America. Go on Visiting Day and you’ll see the other half.

In my humble opinion, Richard Gephart wants to give the recipient class free health care by giving the rest of the population a financial hysterectomy.

In my humble opinion, if Clinton had worked as a collector on the Golden Gate Bridge, his toll booth would have kept two sets of books.

In my humble opinion, the last Frenchman willing to fight was Marcel Cerdan.

In my humble opinion, Bill Clinton is not the First Black President, but the First Black Wishmaster. He offers to give each member of a minority a wish, if they give him their souls. The deal is a “wash”, as he already owns their souls, and they are already on welfare.

In my humble opinion, Helen Thomas looks like the door prize at a meat locker.

In my humble opinion, after all but consigning Scott Peterson to the guillotine on television, lawyer Mark Geragos took on the job of his defense attorney - which was the nearest thing to a sick dog coming back to eat its own vomit.

In my humble opinion, some things get done just because they are right. The Democrats just can’t get there from here.

In my humble opinion, tax cuts will not slow democrat spending, and there aren’t enough silver bullets in the world to stop them from doing it.

In my humble opinion, Hillary will never visit an aircraft carrier the way George W. Bush did – unless the Navy can come up with a broom with a tail hook.

In my humble opinion, should World War III break out, Democrats will be the first volunteer Prisoners of War.

In my humble opinion, irrespective of her apparent skills as a newsperson, male viewers would most like to hear Laurie Dhue close her report saying, “… and don’t forget to bring your pajamas.”

In my humble opinion, it’s hard to believe Richard Gephart and Stan Musial are both from St. Louis.

In my humble opinion, North Korea was made the Axis of Evil by Bill Clinton - the Anus of Evil.

In my humble opinion, America would not need racial profiling if we had an airport security device which could detect liberals.

In my humble opinion, the best thing about Plaines, Georgia, is it isn’t Little Rock, Arkansas.

In my humble opinion, Colin Powell’s belief in himself is a remarkable example of misplaced confidence.

In my humble opinion, if the Mexicans insist on our returning the Alamo, we should chuck it back across the Rio Grande one adobe brick at a time.

In my humble opinion, Bill Clinton would have given Hitler the benefit of the doubt. Hillary would have given him “nukes.”

In my humble opinion, it puts Susan Sarandon’s acting achievements in perspective when you consider that Bette Davis won her Oscars without baring her boobs – even one of them. (It makes its own statement about Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins that even they won’t marry each other.

In my humble opinion, the Eiffel Tower looked better before they took down the aluminum siding.

In my humble opinion, no apology, reparation, or tube of Vaseline will soothe any minority irritation.

In my humble opinion, Vladimir Putin has convinced Kofi Annan that KGB spells cat.

In my humble opinion, Madonna has been over-exposed – especially her apertures.

In my humble opinion, if the use of steroids continues at its present rate, the next Olympic Games will include an event in which athletes will be playing tiddlywinks with manhole covers.

In my humble opinion, Tim Robbins is overly critical for a guy who looks like he gets his hair cut with a knife and fork.

In my humble opinion, the UN is America’s tar baby.

In my humble opinion, while the word Clinton cannot be made into an anagram for excrement, it can certainly serve as a metaphor.

In my humble opinion, Hollywood is the manhole to stardom.

In my humble opinion, if Michelle Malkin were Dorian Gray, her portrait would look like Michael Moore.

In my humble opinion, the worst thing about rock ‘n’ roll is its endurance.

In my humble opinion, Charles Schumer would be happy doing body searches for guns, even in a leper colony.

and …

In my humble opinion, France, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, and Canada have made it clear they can get along without us - and should.

Dear Mr. Christian

After lurking here for several years, and posting for several months, I am still unclear as to how to read your posts. Would you be so kind as to post an interpretive guide?

In particular, what does the use of ((double)) brackets (as opposed to the more usual single brackets) signify?

Furthermore, the mathmatics training in me leans toward interpreting the // as meaning parallel. This does not always compute.

An interpretation of the following line would also be helpful as a guide.

fire - water - hat ... white lightening --- zap !

What does a single - mean, compared to the ---? How about the ...?

I assume there is some logical consistency to your notation. As yet, I have been unable to ascertain what it is, and your posts leave me with a vaugely uneasy feeling, such as one gets when staring too long at one of those Escher sketches.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Should you be successful in this endevour, FReepers may wish to dispose of their Tylenol stock, as the demand will no doubt crash.

What's the difference between a comma (( ... )) and a semicolon (( --- )) ? ?

Is that one question? Or two??

Is this a key to the code, or an admission of having been educated in publick skule?

I assume that your notation has not just evolved randomly, but that it is the product of an intelligent design. (Did that get your attention?)

However, in light of this response, an analysis of the design leads only to several possible conclusions:
1) The designer wishes to obsfucate, not communicate, in which case one wonders why he bothers posting.
2) The designer is a math professor or computer programmer. However, the syntax is insufficiently precise or consistent for either of these things to be a high probability.
3) The designer is secretly in league with the manufacturers of anti-psycotic medications, the demand for said substances he hopes to drive up with the content of his posts.

All kidding aside, I am really interested in understanding this syntax.
