I agree with Horowitz and I am not one who supports gay marriage, gay education in the schools, or gay days at Disney. I find all of these things offensive.
However, this group of leaders is not the least bit helpful to advancing their issues, when they attempt such ham-handed strong-arming of the RNC and publish "open letters" which are counter-productive.
And Gary Bauer, who somehow found John McCain worthy of support, is beginning to sound like Mr. Sour Grapes to me.

"Beginning" to sound like Mr. Sour Grapes?
He's been in a permanent snit since he and the other Suslovites tried to clobber Bush in 2000...and failed.

Andrew Sullivan found John McCain worthy of support too. So if supporting John McCain proves anything, which one is right on gay issues?
Bush is not God and he shouldn't be worshipped. One way or another, he will be gone in five and a half years. Will you be able to find a new presidential idol to replace him?

He has never been of interest to me and now is even less after spouting this bilge.
