Since when does "meeting" with a group mean that you accept their agenda, or that you're sympathetic to their ideas?

Since the Republican party decided to put a lot more effort into courting the gays than into their core base of social conservatives. This was just one more incident in a long developing pattern. The real point of the meeting was the lack of White House support for Sen. Rick Santorum. The RNC has no time to defend one of their own, but plenty of time to meet with the sodomite PAC.

Why should the RNC have responded to the flap over Santorum’s remarks? It was a tempest in a teapot driven by the gay agenda crowd and their allies in the mainstream media. It was so silly it didn’t merit comment, and disappeared off the radar screen quickly.

I think Bauer et. al. need to grow up. Threatening to tell “their people” to stay home on Election Day is the ultimate in cutting off your nose to spite your face. Do they really want a President Dean, Lieberman, or Kerry? OTOH, maybe they do want that. It will certainly increase donations to their organizations.
