I agree. Gun owners (and the private sale of guns) represent a segment of society that the left CANNOT control, which irks them to no end.

I wish more people put the gun question in these terms. We get so strung out on crime and CCW and Assault Weapon this and that. Screw all that. What matters is what you said: More guns in the hands of us, means the state has less power. Everything else is just minutia and subterfuge skillfully wielded by bad guys.
