Yes, but long guns are almost unrestricted in the rest of the state, and it is still somewhat possible to own a pistol in many counties.

This seems like just another way to put clamps on the rest of the state.

For sure - even those with carry permits are supposed to have trigger locks on when inside the city limits...I guess they're supposed to club assailants...
