I really appreciate the well informed Senators telling me the straight facts! Reprsentatives, not Senators. this is a House bill. By comparison the Senate bill, by Fienstien et. al., is quite mild. Other than making the ban permanent, it would additionally only ban import of pre-ban full capacity magazines. I actually think the House bill is a distraction/lure to get us all excited and then say "well OK" we'll not do all that (for now) , we'll just accept the Senate version, even though it's woefully inadequate".

I'd take the SKS against the 44 and 30-30 myself.
Just an opinion...hardly an endorsement of any RKBA infringements.
I think the SKS is one of the bets bangs for the buck..
