How come they're not crusading for my "right" to work as a shower-room monitor at a girl's college?
I quit giving to the UW in the 80s after I sat down and read the list of things they fund. Made me unpopular in the Navy, because my unit could never get "100% participation."
You know, that business of United Way milking the military every year, with superior officers pushing subordinates to contribute for the sake of the unit's reputation, really ought to be an issue.

It is amazing the prestige associated with a successful UW campaign. I've been in several organizations where that was highly touted. It makes me wonder what the driving force is.
