Compare that to Clarence Thomas's commencement speech, which sought to uplift and encourage graduates:
"The country is "suffering in a culture of victimization" that is "saturated by complaining and protest," he said.
"You cannot be a victim and a hero simultaneously," he declared. "Be able to honestly say, 'I did my best to be my best.' If you can do that, somewhere you'll be a hero to someone."

"what liberals believe," including the true separation of church and state.
____________
Fine...when the govt quits telling me where I can and can't pray and quits punishing people of Faith for their beliefs.
I too would have walked out on this idiot. I believe when I heard he was our graduation speaker I would have started a petition to have him removed.
Clarence Thomas's speech showed true class and skill, unlike Donahue's garbage.

The morons who gave Clarence Thomas a hard time should have been handed white robes and hoods as they were leaving, stamped with "DEMOCRATIC PARTY" on the front and "COMPLIMENTS OF U.S. SENATOR ROBERT C. BYRD" on the back.
They needed to have "RACIST" rained down on them the same way they've heaved it at us when welfare waste has been cut from the budget!
