The Korean War Veterans Memorial is the most breathtaking of all of the memorials. Seeing it for the first time - in the light of the moon, with the holograph changing the back wall as you move along - you can feel those soldiers slogging through a swampy field, inundated with rain.
The days we were in DC, we would gravitate back to that memorial and each time we left in tears.

Thank you. (The stamp comes out in July, I guess. There will be a Purple Heart stamp coming out the end of this month.)
