SACRAMENTO (AP) - A Republican political action committee voted Friday to give $100,000 to Rescue California, one of several groups working on a recall campaign of Gov. Gray Davis.
The donation from the Lincoln Club of Orange County matches a contribution made last week by U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Vista, who is interested in replacing Davis should the recall effort succeed.

All the media is going to have egg on their faces when enough signatures are turned in before July and they have to call a special election!

All the media is going to have egg on their faces when enough signatures are turned in before July and they have to call a special election! That would be good!

I saw two petition gatherers today at the entrance of Footstock, at the end of the Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco. They had severl petitions and clipboards each, and looked like they were getting quite a few signatues. I suspect they were paid signature gatherers. I also saw some folks with Howard Dean signs "Take Back Your Country" handing out fliers. Yikes!
