Agree with you Devil...let them make the decision whether it is something to be concerned...That's why we have the Alert Levels, to warn us to be more diligent and aware of suspicious behavior.
I can't tell you how much razzing I've gotten most of my life because I'm 1/2 Syrian, but since 9-11, boy has it gotten to the point that it's almost comical to me!
I have to keep telling people that I'm 3rd generation Ameriacan, 1/2 Italian and Roman Catholic tho I was baptized Melchite Catholic..Not Muslim and certainly not an EXTTEMIST. And I don't even look Arabic!

I know a family of Palestinians. I've known them since I was a child. The parents came here as immigrants. They are Christians--Episcopal--and if there was ever anything to do with islam in their family, I sure never heard of it!

They are thoroughly assimilated. They are as patriotic about America as anyone. You know, Jackie, the Irish were treated badly when they first came. (Not that your family has "just come"--fer cryin' out loud, three generations!) They have bombers among them, too, but I've never heard of anyone being afraid of ALL people of Irish heritage just b/c some of them have done bombings, lol!
