if they ever, EVER get caught in Britain (or the USA) they risk the most horrible blowback on Israel and the Jewish people that the world has seen since the Holocaust.

Oh, really? You would justify massive attacks against Jews world wide if the Mossad screws up like they did at Lillehammer. Would you also say that if Al Qaeda made another attack on the magnitude of the WTC that Muslims would likewise experience horrible blowback? Especially the ones who dance in the street?

I didn't say _I_ threatened a blowback. That would be an evil thing. I wish no ill upon the Jewish people. But politically it's a tinder box situation and Israel would be utter fools to send licensed-to-kill agents into any Western country. The present day secular country of Israel has one foot on the good graces (such as they are) of the West, and the other foot on a banana peel. Unfair? Sure. Realpolitik? H***, yeah!!!

To clarify further... an Israeli assassination of a real or suspected terrorist in the USA would produce furious debate among fundamentalist, pre-millenialist theology Christians, who are almost the entire public support base for Israel in the USA. Israel does NOT want to split that base. Not if it is smart, and the Bush administration has made it abundantly clear it is willing to address even its own civilians with the ruthlessness reserved to enemy combatants if it deems necessary.
