I wonder if these Mohammedans support the other goals of these leftists, eg homosexual "marriage", teaching buggery in schools, etc.

My understanding (and belief) is that the left has turned to the third world (mohammedans) to be the tools of their socialist revolt and overthrow of "the man" and capitalism.
