The point I am trying to make is that an unprotected body in the ocean will shortly be nothing but bones, in a matter of days, perhaps a week, not several months.

That was my assertion when the bodies were first discovered. But soe brilliant researcher (alex) posted information demonstrating that it was indeed possible under the right circumstances. I am still not convinced that those circumstances were the ones on the bottom of the bay.

Here is an inductive test of the intact bodies theory:

Loop and tie some fishing line through a chicken carcass, throw it into the ocean and see what remains after a month.

Next month try it again and see what the results are.

My guess is no flesh left, likely no bones.
