I accidentally ran over a kitten the other day. It did that "fish out of water" thing. My daughter was there. It was bad.

Oh, that's awful--I did that to a squirrel once when my daughter was with me. We both were hysterical.

OMG - I completely go to pieces over animals. I'm a wreck everytime I lose a cat. All my cats are rescue's including the one I brought home from Mexico. We lost Amigo from Kidney failure on November 15th, 2003 and I was a basket case. I know of what you speak.

Two of my life's most traumatic moments were accidently killing kittens. Not cats, but kittens. And my daughter was present both times. First time she too young to absorb. Kitten was under the hood of my car. Didn't know what had happened until I got out of the car to check under the hood as to the horrible noise. Awful. Second time kitten ran into the garage under the descending door, but didn't quite make it. Really awful.
