Do you think it could be his TOTAL detachment from this grotesque crime on the woman he was supposed to love and protect for life and HIS unborn son? Most "normal" young men would be out of their minds in grief.

Yes, that's part of it. Yes--they'd be out of their minds with grief. I think it would seriously impact their lives (duh) even if they had previously lost all their love for their wife.

Heck, an old man who was a friend of a friend, a person I didn't even know, but who I frequently saw walking--that old man was murdered the other day here, and I feel kind of depressed about it. If I can be kind of depressed about that, being so far removed from it, you'd THINK Scott would at LEAST have stopped smiling for a few days after Laci was gone!!!!
