May 16, 2003 -- The Iraqi diplomat's son accused of helping Saddam Hussein's spies in New York wants the charges dropped because his dad is now working for U.S. officials in Baghdad, helping to rebuild the Foreign Ministry.

Raed Rokan Al Anbuge, 28, was charged last month with illegally aiding Iraqi spies working out of the United Nations.

This sounds like an issue for GWB: does the father's service outweigh the need for consistent U.S. justice in this instance? Should the son be prosecuted and THEN pardoned?

Or should we string him up?
