Gosh, how do you know all that!!? I thought I used to read a lot about her! I didn't like that she pretty much 'lived' with another womans husband in her later years. I'm Catholic, and she supposedly was, but that broke all the rules!

Upon hearing Jack Kennedy I realized I was hearing a glib psychopath. He, and his election, was a slap in my face. I did quite a bit of studying of the Kennedys to analyze the Viet Nam war.

Jackie, by the way, tried to present herself as aristocratic French. She studied and spoke French to further that image. In reality, she was mostly Irish. The original Bouvier was a cabinet maker who came here in the 1800s. He created a small furniture empire. He didn't marry French. Jackie's grandmother was an Irish woman who spoke with a thick brogue and maintained an Irish home and life style. In later years they tried to keep the old woman isolated and shoved in the background because she was an embarrassment to social pretentions. Jackie's father Jack 'blackjack' Bouvier was a partier and womanizer who pissed away the family business and ended up worth a piddling $350,000, which was another embarrassment. Hell of a family.
