They're laughing now, but when all their dogs turn up pregnant they'll sing a different tune...

Was the hotel manager/owner named Patel? Just curious.

Quick, hide your women, children and farm animals.

I'm ashamed of Ardmore. Isn't there a name for people who sell themselves for a few bucks?

Ron Stahl, spokesman for the Oklahoma Tourism Department, came to the hotel Thursday to point out all the local attractions the legislators were missing -- such as "beautiful Lake Murray."I hope Ron's superiors read this; obviously his heart's in his work!

Somebody tell Ron Stahl to SHUT UP!
The last thing we need is a bunch of Democratic legislators tossing their
empty Lone Star Beer cans into the relativey unspoiled (and under-appreciated)
beauty of rural Oklahoma!
And for heaven's sake, don't tell these RATs about the Wichita Mountain wilderness area!
Once they learn that Chicago and east-coast mobsters used to come there
till "things cooled down", they'll be making a pilgrimage there!

I live in TX and I'm up for suing every one of those damned turncoats. I want them to pay us for the time they've squandered, including all the bills that will now die and have to be re-introduced in the next session!
Any lawyers out there that want to file a lawsuit???? I'd LOVE to become a plaintiff!!

Around town, a new song started airing on the radio. It was a revised version of
the Eagles' "Hotel California," a spoof called "Hotel Oklahoma."
Somewhere in eternity, Hoyt Axton is smiling...seeing how some Texans have finally
sealed Oklahoma's reputation as
"The Cultural Center of The Universe"!
Too bad we can't get a spoof on the usual "I'm Going To Disneyland" response from sports stars...
with a "I'm Going To Ardmore, Oklahoma!" from whining RAT legislators.

I suspect the real reason the RATs have headed south is that the Oklahoma EPA
does actually crack down hard on cases of gross pollution.

"They're leaving their families, so they're dedicated to their jobs."
No, their jobs are in Austin. They are in Ardmore because they are dedicated to power. If they gave two hoots about their jobs, they would be in Austin, nor Ardmore.
