This could be a 'he said, she said' story, but if DeLay said that he 'IS' the government, then is it any reason why some conservatives are losing faith in the Republican Party?

Sorta like the Democrats' [Barbra Streisand] case of "do as I say, but not as I do" attitudes.

Sounds more like the entire lot to me..... Pass laws impacting the populace at large but exempting themselves because they are the ruling elite....

That would be correct if DeLay was the one pushing the no smoking rule.

But since he isn't, it's not correct at all.

He should have been flexible. Personally, I am more comfortable with folks that dip snuff and drink Old Crow.
