As to " CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR "...the series is just a gussied up " bodice ripper "/ female soap opera and not at all well done. I tried to read it, when it came out, and was bored to tears. OTOH, I've been fascinated by and studied primative man (from " Lucy ", to the Neanderthals, to all the rest ), from early childhood. Real life is often far more interesting, than what is floating around in someone's imagination.
