What does that question have to do with my statement? I guess I assumed the person I was answering was already born - and would therefore have some command over his own life. I would hardly make the same statement to a child.

I believe the Bible calls it "the age of accountability". There is no definite age when GOD holds you accountable - it must be determined by each person's maturity level.
