We need some nuclear powered space based lasers that can strike ground or space targets. IOW, we need to be able to project lethal firepower throughout all of cis-lunar space. Of course this would make many libs drop dead from heart failure, so it has secondary benefits as well.

A solar powered version of the ABL would be quite capable of destroying ground targets, as would the laser in the THL project. We just need to get some systems like that up there if we don't already have them in place. Likewise, we need to have a fleet of orbiting MIRVs in low to moderate orbits for first strike use with no warning and no way for an enemy to calculate trajectory for defense. Once again, we really don't know what we have orbiting these days - I just hope that they've been using the funds in the "black projects" part of the budget along these lines.
