They have the skills to protect themselves, but not the tools; they are not armed. They are ex-military or retired military civilian contractors and are not supposed to be carrying weapons themselves. Defending their own compound is not their mission. They were depending on the RSAF for security. Perhaps they will replace the RSAF with SANG. An alert LAV crew could have solved that problem with judicious bursts of 25mm.

I stand corrected. After further research it appears that the SANG was guarding the Vinnell compound. How embarrassing, for me to post what I did, and for Vinnell that their pupils couldn't do any better.
