I prefer watching Neil Cavuto than O'Reilly. I believe it is a much better show.

I too am a Cavuto fan. Please, do me a favor, visit
http://www.nmss.org/ and pledge a few bucks in Cavuto's honor. Thank you.

Love Cavuto. I wish Fox would move him to prime time in, say, Greta's slot. Personally, I don't see what value Greta adds to Fox News.

I say it. And I write it. And no one lectures me on it. Save you, you pretentious charlatan. ...Now make I suggest you take your column and shove it? Neal's just got to stop holding it in or he's gonna have a heart attack...

Man Cavuto rocks.
Who does this Krugman think he is?
I am an extreme stickler when it comes to journalists being unbiased, but he either is an ultimate idiot or LIAR when he says he broke journalistic ethics by giving his opinion despite being an anchor.
As long as it is clearly labeled commentary, it is WELL WELL WELL WELL WELL WITHIN the ethics to give an opinion, no matter who it is giving it!
I believe Dan Rather even used to give little commentaries at the end of 48 Hours or Gumbel may have with his show Private Eye.

Mr. Cavuto is a gentleman and a scholar, one who impresses others with his knowledge and conviction - not flash in the pan theatrics. I saw the segment in question and nearly cried, I was so deeply moved. I may not have cried, but I did stand and applaud. It stands as one of the greatest moments I have ever seen on television.
I second the motion to move Mr. Cavuto to a more prominent spot on the FOX line-up. I wish him much deserved and continued success.

Do you know anything about this mysterious Sheila Jackson Lee interview on Cavuto 5/13/03? Fox seems to have made it inaccessible.

"Exactly who's the hypocrite, Mr. Krugman? Me, for expressing my views in a designated segment at the end of the show? Or you, for not so cleverly masking your own biases against the war in a cheaply written column? ...I'd much rather put my cards on the table and let people know where I stand in a clear editorial, than insidiously imply it in what's supposed to be a straight news story. And by the way, you sanctimonious twit, no one -- no one -- tells me what to say. I say it. And I write it. And no one lectures me on it. Save you, you pretentious charlatan. ...Now make I suggest you take your column and shove it?" ROFLOL!!!!!!!

I know it's an old article, but it was nice to see it again.
So, let's see what we have here.
Krugman is one of hundreds of writers for a paper that mainly targets NYC.
Cavuto is one of just eight or more anchors on a network with global reach.
Krugman, given those stats, you should give it up. You can't compete with Cavuto.

Krugman is the DEFINITION of an idiot.
There is nothing wrong with an achor doing commentary whe labeled such.
If so, am I not a journalist when I write an editorial for the newspaper staff? I did not realize that, Mr. Krugman.
And, Mr. Krugman, an anchor doing commentary is not a bad thing. Pretending to simply report the news and then slant it in disguised commentary--what the NY Times does--that is a bad thing. That is betraying journalism.
Neil is just fine.
