Citizens Demand Action, as Fallout from Shreveport Police Shooting Continues

District C Councilman Thomas Carmody announced Tuesday he had contacted an independent investigator to examine videotapes of the deadly shooting of a Shreveport man by police. The same day, a parade of Shreveporters again went before the City Council demanding action and, in some cases, the dismissal of Police Chief Jim Roberts.

No, this is still "fallout" from the March 15 shooting in which a 25-year-old black male was shot to death after he pretended that his cell phone was a gun. The Shreveport black community is up in arms against the police department.

The perp is pointing his cell phone at another cop that is in front of the suspect, but out of the pic. Maybe he thought his cell phone was a phaser.

THAT IS FUNNY, SAD BUT FUNNY. MY TAKE ON THIS IS, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE POINTED THE PHONE LIKE IT WAS A GUN. BETTER YET, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE FLED IN THE FIRST PLACE. WRONG IS WRONG AND RIGHT IS RIGHT.
