UC president comes out against UC regent's colorblind campaign

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - The president of the University of California is asking governors of the nine-campus system to take a stand against one of their own and oppose Ward Connerly's campaign to stop state and local agencies from collecting race data.

ie. pumping out students that are well-nurtured in multiculturalism, perhaps.

As a minority myself, I refuse to permit racists like Atikinson to represent me. America is ready to move beyond race and judge people not on the color of their skin but on the content of their character. Unfortunately, a few aging hipsters like Atikinson will not let their race-obsession go and continue to pit people of different races against one another. Affirmative action is extremely divisive- it is racial favoritism and it keeps the age-old animosities between racial communities alive.

That and the Left's cherished "affirmative action" baby, which gave us the discredited Jayson Blair. No wonder UC President Richard Atkinson is determined to fight tooth and nail to preserve the racial spoils system. Personally I think that race should be none of the government's business. The harder it is for it to collect racial data the sooner this quota and multicultural BS will fall by the wayside. Ward Connerly and Tom Wood are not just taking on UC but on the entire liberal establishment, including the media, in California. I think in the end the electorate will be favorably predisposed towards making race a private matter. I'm looking forward to the day the racial con artists are put out of business for good.
