That is still one of the most special things - to have a rose bush planted and 'named' for you.

Yes, but it's okay to say it again. I'm really glad you like it, and hope you can post more from your backyard this evening. I'd love to see the roses in the garden. Would love to see wolfie's rose garden, too. (I don't have the patience to grow and care for them) :)
Okay, you asked for it. LOL! Here is a picture of a new rose I planted last fall, it's called "Bridal Pink". I also planted a bareroot JFK rose last February, I've gotten a couple of flowers off of it but it hasn't done much yet. I have high hopes for it. It is a greenish white rose, with a creamy center. Very pretty but no fragrance.
Billie, roses are very easy to grow. Just get a good systemic fertilizer/insecticide, deadhead them once in awhile and prune them back in the fall. That's pretty much all there is to it. :-)
