I wonder if it is possible to file a Lawsuit on behalf of the American people to force Disney and ABC to pay the treasury Billions for Libel or Slander. Since we KNOW this pig lies and makes up stuff, I would think it would be a slam dunk.

I'm against the boycott, sorry. Let them make the stupid movie and then we can go to town showing them for what they are...propagandists. This boycott feeds right into their theory that right wingers want to take away your freedom.

The site also urges boycotts of all Disney products, including Disney World and even ABC.

What do they mean, "even"?

"A source close to Mirimax says the company is undaunted, 'We have weathered storms like this before.'"

So Miramax's past 'documentaries' have been fantasies as well? Then this Moore 'expose' should be right up their alley.

I tune in to MSNBC at 10 PM specifically for Joe Scarborough's show. He's a great conservative and a real personable guy, and I try NEVER to miss his show.

I notice that the other MSNBC shows, even Hardball, are also becoming more conservative. But I'm still leary of them and monitor them closely for a Demopuke liberal slant. But I must say, they're becoming easier to watch.

"I would love to know why Mel changed his mind?"

Probably because Michael Moore's 'documentaries' aren't worth the paper that lines my bird's cage. They're full of Moore's leftist fantasies.

>>>>>>>Well, as for ideas and be able to portray real Americans, you came to the right place! Have you seen The Canteen yet Gabrielle? Know that forum is an inspiration everyday as are all the Freepers. Jim Robinson, the owner of FR is probably the most inspirational human soul on this planet. He is why we all believe so profoundly in FR!>>>>

I am very impressed with FR. A friend who is also a subscriber, knows my passion for politics and recommended it. I have thanked him several times. :)
Thanks, I will take a good look at that this afternoon when I get back home. I have been out around to many of the VFW posts in many areas around Kansas talking with the Vets. I am deeply saddened by how the soldiers were treated when they came home from Nam and to a lesser degree Korea. I love all the "this is me when I was 19" pictures they show me. :) My Grandpa was one of the biggest influencing factors in my life and I miss him dearly, every bit as much today, 16 years after he death. I love the opportunity to visit our VFW's post's, I usually leave with a tear in my eye and a secret little message to my Grandpa. I look forward to looking at the Canteen. Thanks so much. The more information I can collect the better the product.

On Instapundit an intriguing point has been raised. Is Fahrenheit 911 in danger of violating McCain-Feingold, especially if, as seems likely, it's targeted to be released at the height of the campaign in '04?

For alternative vacation plans, I recommend Dollywood in Tennessee, plus lots of fun things to do in nearby Pigeon Forge.

I myself am using my vacation to take several "day trips" in my local Pittsburgh area: nearby Somerset (Seven Springs resort, lots of craft shops and outlets, mountaintop restaurants and roadhouses), to Amish country in nearby Ohio, to Oglebay Park in Wheeling WV with its flower gardens, Glass Factory, zoo and Christmas shop.

Plus there's the local zoo, aquarium, history center, aviary, and conservatory. Stay local and experience your own area!

"This boycott feeds right into their theory that right wingers want to take away your freedom."

Ah, but you see, that's why they are the left - because they aren't right.

A boycott is simply an expression of freedom. The government isn't telling Disney or Miramax or Moore that they can't do something.

A boycott is the public's way of saying, "You suck. Stop being such an idiot."

I live in Fl & I like to go to Busch Gardens instead of Disney World. Also, there is a very nice small zoo called Lowrey Park zoo. Both are in Tampa.

Disney has Gay week this June. Disney doesn't need decent American Families money anymore. You think Disney might have a Christians week ? Maybe they could have Freepers week !

Disney fractures fairy tales and massacres history. Most of their stuff is frankly, garbage (wildly popular garbage is still garbage).

Some of the original movies were good, but that's it.

Their animation on "historical" drama of American culture is just more liberal lies. Pocahontas is a good example. Some of the lyrics of the songs are extremely anti-white and anti-American and the entire message of the movies is Indians=good, white guys=bad, and the landscape has nothing to do with reality because Virginia in the area that was depicted is largely flat swampland.

We ought to press Eisner and Miramax to endorse gay values openly -- let's get their politics square on the table.

The fact that this movie is coming out just before the election is proof of Moore's intent.

The RNC needs to check McCain-Feingold vis-a-vis this film. Could be a violation if released within 60 days of the election.

I oppose McCain-Feingold in the main, but if it can be used to squash Moore while all the constitutional issues are being worked out, I just might be convinced to see some good in it, grudgingly of course.
