For the same reason we need to be in Afghanistan and Iraq:

Either we fight the terrorists on their home turf, or we must fight them on ours.

Uh, big difference here. Afghanistan and Iraq were openly declared as enemies of the great Satan. Saudi Arabia is supposed to be our "ally". The rulers of Saudi Arabia have declared themselves to be our "allies". We are invited there. Now we are being attacked there.

What is the compelling reason our sons and daughters should be targets in Saudi Arabia? Unless, you want to tell me we should take the country over and kick their @ss, I say get the h#ll out.

If you truly believe there are no terrorists in Saudi Arabia, that there is no continuing terrorist threat and that we have no business being in Saudi Arabia, then there is nothing I can do for you.

Except maybe suggest that you review the news of the area for the past 20 years.

I don't think we're going to need to go back in there. I think the Saudis will now be able to take action against these terrorists and extremists.

Al Qaeda is incredibly stupid. They went after us, and we opened the gates of hell on them. They have hated the Saudi royal family for years and now they are taking action because the US is pulling out and they think they have a free hand to take over and form their Califate (sp?) right there in the country with the two most holy Muslim sites. Everyone should have known this was coming.

Now the Royal Family will be able to crack down without too much screaming from their own people. It exposes Al Qaeda for what they are and proves they are not the "heros" they pretended to be.
