Bomb-laden car blows up in Afghanistan, kills suspected terrorists

(Kabul, Afghanistan-AP) -- Authorities say two terrorists were planning an attack when their car blew up in eastern Afghanistan. The Toyota Corolla was packed with explosives.

There was little left of the car, and body parts were scattered around the charred wreckage.

A government spokesman says it's clear the suspects were planning an attack, but did not say what the target may have been.

Last month, four men were killed when their car, also carrying explosives, blew up in a similar fashion.

The area is known as a hot-bed of activity for rebels thought to belong to the ousted Taliban regime or affiliated with al-Qaida.
