I heard this exchange this morning on Howard Stern. During the part quoted above, Moore adopted that favorite tactic of your average liberal when they’re spouting utter nonsense – speaking through the condescending laugh. They use it when they know they are talking out their ass, but try to make the listener feel stupid for not seeing the “obvious truth.”

The more idiotic and illogical the assertion, the more condescending the laugh.

To his credit, Costas sounded completely dumbfounded by the mind-boggling absurdity of his claims. He just let Moore make a total ass of himself.
