Ms Short said that in Labour's second term, power had become centralised into the "hands of the Prime Minister and an increasingly small number of advisers who make decisions in private without proper discussion". Good! Sounds like he is aspiring to American-style Executive leadership. Way to go Tony!

Translation: "Since I was an incompetent trumpeter of old Labour thinking, I wasn't invited to all the meetings to which I thought I should have been invited. Therefore, I've decided to throw a childish temper tantrum in public. Nyah, nyah, nyah, Mr. Blair. Nyah, nyah, nyah."

She is in charge of the rebuilding of Iraq, from the British side. She is in a position to do something enormous, historical, if she would stop carping and get on with it.
In stepping down she is giving up the greatest chance she will ever have to directly impact history.
She is astonishingly shallow, head-spinningly out of her depth. One wonders how she ever got as far as she has.
