It's much too early to crow, but so far the Democrat candidates that Freepers have feared most have pretty well evaporated.
Algore, who almost took the last election, has self-destructed. Loserman is almost as badly out of it. Mr. Ketchup has had a series of embarrassing flops.
For years everyone thought that Edwards would be a very dangerous threat: another smooth-talking clinton suddently coming to national attention, and that the media would cover and spin for him just as they did for clinton. So far he has gone nowhere but backwards.
Everyone said that when Bob Graham entered the race he would be a formidable candidate. Not yet, evidently.
One explanation for the failure of any Democrat to take off, of course, is that Hillary has sent out orders to the media not to back any of them at this point. Hillary is surely the most ominous figure of them all even though she is never on the published lists of contenders. I would guess that she is still divided between running in 2004 or waiting until 2008. The latter might seem more attractive, with Bush gone, but can she continue to control the party for six more years from her relatively weak power base? I doubt it. McAuliffe is an obvious loser at the DNC, and the Democrats would be spineless fools to leave him in place for six more years just so Hillary can find personal fulfillment.

Problem with Graham's claims about "what Bush knew before 9/11" is that, w Graham as Senate Intelligence Cmte head, he knew them, too...but didnt warn anyone, either.
He hid the evidence, also.
Also, GWB had only been President for 9 months before 9/11.....most of the info pertinent would also mean that Clinton knew, and, refused to do anything, either (he had his chance to arrest bin Laden, but did not do so)
Graham needs to come up with something more than Cynthia McKinney's Conspiracy Theories as a campaign platform

It sure is Hillary. All of these wantabees have more money than brains. If GW is leading big in the polls at the Dem convention then one of these idiots gets to be the loser but if it looks promising then Hillary gets the nomination at her whim. Don't these guys see this?
