I agree with you as well, wow, what a concept.
And I voted for the voucher program, and I homeschool all 3 of my kids.
Now if they would only do a voucher program with no strings attached, I'd be even happier.

In addition to your comment, I was thinking...If the government halts the freedom of religion, it is infact creating a non-religious atmosphere, inturn creating a "religion" in itself....An Athiestic atmosphere! WHOA!

Pagans are often notoriously anti-
Christian....I wouldn't even bother arguing with them.
To: Aric2000
The fact of the matter is, that if the parents of these students want their kids to go to one of these Christian bible camps, then they should do so AFTER school, just as is done with any other extracurricular activities. You mean like the Earth Day/Gaia worship festivals?
And should NOT allow the students to go to such DURING school hours.
How magnanimous of you to "allow" the children to practice their religion after school hours. Is there anything else you want to allow, like freedom of speech or freedom of the press, Your Highness?

Like I said, I help pay for those schools, you don't want me to complain, then A: have these activities AFTER school, or B: let me opt out of paying for them.
I don't use them, and don't agree with them, so why should I be forced to pay for them?
That was easy, wasn't it?

Remember when the Hari Krishnas took over that town in Oregon? I think you mean the followers of Bagwhan Shri Rajneesh who changed the name of Antelope, Oregon to Rajneesh Purim, Oregon.

When it's the Satanists shutting down schools for sabbats somehow I don't think you'll feel quite the same. Or the Moonies. Or the Hari Krishnas. They are all false religions invented by men who wish to brainwash people against the true teachings of Christ. BTW, modern atheism's roots lie in a group of people who wished to avoid the guilt that comes from immoral behavior so they simply "killed" God and invented moral relativism.
The majority of the core groups that most strongly support the 'Rat party can be traced back to their desire to avoid ultimate payment for their sins.
BTW, if you keep God and specifically Jesus Christ in the schools and your life, the Satanists will never get a foothold. Their words will fall harmlessly on ears safe from Satan's evil.

Is there some rule around here that anti-Christian=hysterical? The straw-man arguments are getting a bit stale.
To: Aric2000
Just because Christianity has the answers that you seek, does not mean that it has the answers for everyone. You see, that is where you are wrong. There are not several truths where you can simply wander from one to anther and expect to get to heaven. There is only one truth and the difference between Christianity and ALL other religions is that we know that whatever we do, we cannot earn our way in to heaven.

They are all false religions invented by men who wish to brainwash people against the true teachings of Christ.
And that is your learned position, or your christian position?
I know of MANY people that say that Christianity is a false religion, based on a false tenet, that Jesus Christ was the son of god, and was crucified and resurrected. Many believe that he wasn't and he didn't.
So, who's right?
I have a fair inkling, but I don't want to ruin the surprise.

But what if a person does not believe in heaven?
What if a person believes in reincarnation, or valhala, or any other myriad other after death happenings?
Who's right? Of course you will say that you are right, just as many others claim that they are right. So, WHO'S RIGHT?
I just love that stuff, I am right and therefore you must believe like I do. Makes me laugh.

"The public school system should NOT be involved IN ANY religious activities during school hours, PERIOD"
Well, there goes the teaching of evolution and 'self-esteem' in schools. (Which is a good thing.)

Both and supported by the bible (both new and old testaments). There is only two true religions because they worship the one true God. Judism and Christianity in case you were wondering but the Jews were destined to reject Christ and they did.
No matter what your position, it is because you have chosen to believe the doctrine of one group, person, book or another. That belief is called "faith". (Yes, it takes faith to even be an atheist.) I have read document thousands of years old and I have faith that the words in them are true.
Don't worry, no one is going to "force" you to convert to Christianity as you cannot force someone to believe anything.

"Like I said, I help pay for those schools, you don't want me to complain, then A: have these activities AFTER school, or B: let me opt out of paying for them. "
So I have the right to tell you that you can't pull your kid out of school to participate in something else for a day or a few days or even a week?
Can I opt out of paying for things I don't agree with that I consider 'faith based,' e.g. evolution and 'earth day' festivities?
As long as you are willing to have it cut both ways, we are cool. If not, then the answer to both your A and your B is no.
