I like Linda Vester and hope Day Side is a good show.

I didn't realize how smart she was. She speaks 3 languages including fluent Arabic.
Am anxious to see the show and no doubt at all it'll be stimulating.

I've always liked her, too. She seems to have a good grasp on issues so I think the format will suit her well.

I really think Vester is a good reporter, however IMHO the format reminds me of a recently cancelled CNN talk show. Aside from the network it was on, I never thought too much of audience participation shows. Personally, though, I hope her show does well.

Well, she is going to have to slow here speaking and speak in english on Friday, May 30. I will be in the audience. Will try to wear my Stars & Stipes shirt if they let me. If not I'll have my Bush2004 sticker or pin on.

"
Vester, a former MSNBC anchor, will do the show from Fox's brand-new studio on W.47th St., in the former home of the Dish of Salt restaurant." My wife will be torn when she reads this. She likes Vester, but Dish of Salt was her favorite restaurant when we lived in New York. Fifty bucks each for a Chinese meal only marginally better than the "Hunan House" and brethren on every corner! Ahh, expense accounts.

I like her also. Not too impressed with the new show, however, but I'll give it some more time to develop.
I tune into FNC during the day precisely because it offers a fast-paced stream of breaking news and reports related to the major stories of the day. Interrupting that addictive flow of news to dwell for an hour on a single-issue that's presented in a stale talk show format which is (mobile moderator with microphone, live audience interaction, a row of panelists) indistinguishable from every other talk show on TV just doesn't do it for me.
Even as much as I like FNC and Vester, I'll probably end up tuning in elsewhere during DaySide.

I like Linda, too, and don't remember her being
too much of a Klintoon apologist.
The other day, though, she mentioned in an interview that she'd always been a Big Red Machine fan, and tossed in the name "Joe Perez." Was she talking about Joe Morgan? Tony Perez? Or did the Reds have a Joe Perez?

Has it started yet? I fear a hostile,anti-FNC, liberal crowd infesting the live audince. Anybody ever see when Limbaugh did a show and the audience was stacked with liberals and during commercial breaks, the whole audience got kicked out so he could finish the show. Surely, Vester is not as polarizing as Rush, but the Phil Donahue Show audience have to go some place.
