MICKEY MOORE: DISNEY TO FINANCE NEW BUSH-BASHING DOCUMENTARY

DISNEY's modern-day magic kingdom has room for all: Now joining Mickey and Minnie and Pooh bear and Goofy -- is Hollywood badboy Michael Moore, the DRUDGE REPORT explains.

The WALT DISNEY CO. is set to spend millions financing a new explosive Bush-bashing documentary from Michael Moore [BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE] -- a documentary which claims bin Laden was greatly enriched by the Bush family!

DISNEY, via subsidiary MIRAMAX, has agreed to cover the production costs, said to be in the millions, of Moore's planned FAHRENHEIT 911.

"The primary thrust of the new film is what has happened to the country since Sept. 11, and how the Bush administration used this tragic event to push its agenda," Moore explains.

FAHRENHEIT 911 will be released during the upcoming presidential election cycle. [More Moore in '04.]

The director claims he will document on film how the "senior Bush kept his ties with the bin Laden family up until two months after Sept. 11."

Moore will also scrutinize, in graphic detail, why America is so disliked abroad.

With DISNEY financing now secure, Moore, who once railed against corporate media interests, may appear at this week's Cannes film festival in France.

Developing...

Looks like Disney executives have decided how to spend their money. I was planning to take my kids to Disneyland. I do not my money to go in the pockets of the sc..bag Moore. Time to Dixie Chick Mickey.

What do you expect from a previous family theme park that has become a park for homos and lesbos.

I really feel sorry for the hard working people employed there, I suspect that the park will continue to degrade its self, overprice its self and then become a second rate hangout for all the perverts to visit.

Looks like Disney's puny response to the travel restrictions that have so effected their theme parks. My son will not go there, and I live in Florida.

Eisner is putting more nails in the Disney coffin which is already a flat investment... The popularity of President Bush... The unlearned lesson of the radical Hollywood celebrities and their diminishing box office attraction...and the lack of understanding of who is willing to, and can afford to visit his over priced theme parks.

I don't think Michael Eisner understands P.T Barnum.. The fools today, are the ones who can't pay... the informed will stay away.

It's a bit deeper than the fact that Disney is run by your garden variety Hollywood liberals.

Miramax, a Disney subsidiary, is the personal fiefdom of Harvey Weinstein, a fanatic liberal Democrat. Weinstein apparently believes that Michael Moore's documentary will explode the Bush campaign so that a Democrat can get into the White House.

Harvey Weinstein and Gwyneth Paltrow at a London event....

What Weinstein doesn't understand is that Michael Moore has played fast and loose with facts in every documentary he has put out. I can guarantee you that Michael Moore will try to weave a conspiracy around the relationship between the Bush and Bin Laden families that will implicate Bush in the 9-11 attacks. He is that craven and that mendacious.

Michael Moore takes advantage of his NRA membership to familiarize himself with a bolt-action rifle...

However, what he is not counting on are the bloggers. This is a different world from the environment of Roger and Me. When Bowling for Columbine came out, Moore expected to get away with his shoddy fact checking and his editing tricks, like any other arrogant leftist (Marxists are nothing if not arrogant). The bloggers hit Bowling like a ton of bricks on a pile of cowshit. The entire film was deconstructed to such a degree that no serious person treats it as a true documentary.

Michael Moore expected to get a pass, pick up an Oscar, and walk away, laughing all the way to the bank. What he didn't count on was the internet. Moore walked into the same trap that New York Times columnist and resident Bush hater Paul Krugman wandered into: the land of the Internet fact checkers.

Moore will go over the top. In his conceit, Moore will believe that his film will be the magic bullet that brings down George W. Bush. The film will be filled with spurious allegations, post hoc reasoning fallacies, and nifty editing. The proper conservative response should be to compare Moore, as a propagandist, with Leni Riefenstahl of Triumph of the Will fame.

Leni Riefenstahl and friends, from Triumph of the Will.

Triumph of the Will, Riefenstahl's documentary of the 1934 Party Day Rally in Nuremburg, was a smashing success in Germany and has its own reputation as probably the greatest propaganda film of all time. Triumph works because it simply records an event and is edited in such a way as to make Germany look strong, at home and abroad, to Germans. Riefenstahl doesn't do voice over to try to explain why Hitler is such a neat guy. Riefenstahl doesn't do trick interviews with dissident Jews or Socialists, as Moore did with Charlton Heston.

She lets the pictures do the talking, which is why Will worked with such terrible effect, and still does to this day.

Leni Riefenstahl does a far better job at filmmaking than Michael Moore ever could, and is smart enough to get out of the way of her subject (in this case, the Adolf). Moore wants to beat you over the head with his opinion, and lets his opinion get in the way of good filmmaking. That is why he fails. Sure, he makes money, but hell, extortionists and drug dealers make money. It's how you make your money that is the measure of the man.

By any measure, Moore comes up short. Harvey Weinstein doesn't know that yet. He will.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

You can say that again. Thanks for the ping, dansangel. I'm beginning to truly believe these Rats are demonically influenced, all of them.

The easiest way to understand these people is to understand what they call "thinking and creativity" is nothing more than a re-arrangement of their deeply held prejudices.

I am amazed that anyone would refer to the work of this low life as a documentary.
