LOS ANGELES -Jeff Conaway, former co-star of TV's "Taxi," has sued the owners of Mandalay Bay, claiming security guards broke his arm at the Las Vegas casino last summer.

The suit, which seeks unspecified damages, alleges the 52-year-old actor was manhandled on June 3, 2002, after he'd spent some time drinking and playing blackjack. The suit alleges assault, battery, infliction of emotional distress, negligence and loss of wages.

Conaway, a recovering alcoholic, said he had been drinking free cocktails and gambling while he was in town to discuss working as a spokesman for an unnamed company.

Unnamed? Try hallucinatory! Being a vicious, nasty (and litiginous) drunk is what every corporation is looking for as spokespeople. LOL.

Jeff Conaway, former co-star of TV's "Taxi," [...]

Conaway played taxi driver and aspiring actor Bobby Wheeler on the ABC sitcom "Taxi" in the 1970s.

Don't forget his more recent run as Zack Allan. Pulling a tour like that may be what drove him to drink.

Wasn't Connaway the ONLY one of the old Taxi show to NOT go on to some other successful show, or the movies?

Mr. Allen may have personal problems, but I remember him from my days in L.A. as a pretty nice-seeming guy. Although I didn't know him personally, I remember him as one of the few Hollywood people who wasn't afraid to be a Christian in public. He used to help read the Nativity from the Bible aloud at the midnight services at Hollywood Presbyterian when I lived out there, and the Babylon 5 people I knew all spoke highly of him

Plus he was Kenickie in Grease. That's gotta count for something.

The world is mean enough in my opinion. Why don't we pray for Mr. Allen instead of giving him the usual treatment?

Conaway probably does not realize that every square inch of most casinos is covered by cameras. The tapes will tell the truth.

It would indeed be ironic if he was currently driving a cab here in Vegas!

;^)

Food is a natural conduit of change, evolution, and innovation. Wishing for a foodstuff to remain static, uncorrupted by outside influence—especially in these United States—is as ludicrous an idea as barring new immigrants from entering the country.

Yet for more than a century, both sides of the political spectrum have fought to keep Mexican food in a ghetto. Hey, I know that it might be a noble idea to limit our cuisine to meat and potatoes, but I like to think that Mexican food is actually the new American food.

There is just something about Mexican food that makes life so much more interesting. Yes, I know that it is fattening for you, but c'mon - beef tacos, chicken enchiladas, chile rellenos, fajitas, refried beans, burritos - what can be better than all that? And washed down by several margaritas - preferably Herradura Blanco, Cointreau and a little lime juice.
