Yes but it is important never to engage in a dialectic with marxists. Have the facts but don't dwell on them. Simply say Moore is wrong. Moore needs to be attacked more than Bush defended. Was Moore at the ANSWER rallies? Did the sponsors of those rallies receive any money from Iraq? Why does Moore support the Worker's World party? What is his income? Why doesn't he release his tax forms?
You get the point...character assassination. Exactly what Moore is trying to do to Bush. Turn it around.
The marxists can't be debated, but they have to be refuted as vigorously as they attack. I have a friend, an Oscar-winner himself, who essentially cuts-and pastes information from Moore's website and mass-mails it to people within our circle. This puts me in the position of having to refute two Oscar winners (and unfortunately, here in Los Angeles, that silly statue still brings instant clout and credibility). If I'm going to refute these allegations, I'm going to need more than poise. I'm going to need facts.
The same goes for everyone else. When Farenheit 911 is released, the media is going to fall all over itself to praise it. They'll do everything in their power to lend credibility to Moore's thesis. We have to be ready for that.

Aside from the first point (I don't believe Bush needs to be defended so much as the truth needs to be told), I agree 100%. Hit back, hit harder. Moore needs to be pounded into submission. Personally, professionally, intellectually. If he wants a fight, we need to give him one that he can't handle.
The beauty of it is, unlike Moore, we don't need to lie, distort and manipulate in order to do it. The truth is on our side. Let's use it to destroy the bastard.
