It's an article on how brave PFC Piestewa was... Reminds me of the film "Courage Under Fire"...Meg Ryan played an officer during the 1st Gulf War.

So it is not Jessica Lynch but this Hopi woman who fought Iraqis ? It will take a while for facts to finally emerge after confusion and political spins from different camps. It may take months.
The article says they all did.
No, it said that the Hopi woman and her mastersargeant did the bulk of fighting to allow others to move into safety.
According to Renzi, the truck Piestewa was driving carried not just Lynch but also the senior-most non-commissioned officer of the convoy, a master sergeant, and others. When Iraqi soldiers began attacking, Renzi said, "It's her and the master sergeant having to fight and defend, in order for their comrades and brothers and sisters in arms to get out of the vehicle.

"She fought back with her weapon, and she was involved in one of the fiercest portions of the fight. She did not flee, nor do I know that there is any evidence of cowardice of any of the people in the ranks."
Piestewa and the seargent covered while the rest got out of the vehicle. The rest certainly couldn't fight from inside the vehicle. Then the article says there was no cowardice from any in the ranks. That means they all fought after exiting the vehicle. Why is that so hard for you to understand?
Of course you did. You never miss an opportunity to dump on Jessica, even on unrelated threads.
Taking head-on enemy fires while helping others get out of vehicle counts more, in my opinion. They always say everybody fought. Theoretically, it is true. But some fights more than others, due to circumstance or ability.
No, you said the you agree with Tiger that the rest fled to safety. The Seargent says they all showed no cowardice. Tiger is saying the rest fled while Piestewa was killed. He's wrong and you're wrong for agreeing with him.
You only bite when you have three or four other disruptors to help you.

I'm sure that the most fire to one spot occured while everyone was together in the truck. I would guess that Piestewa and the seargent was in the front of the truck and therefore were in a position to provide cover while the rest could get out to fight. That doesn't mean the rest didn't fight as your first post indicates.
Now, if you want to fight, you're going to have to find someone else to do it with.
I'm going to sleep. You bore me.
Stop baiting me, and do not post to me again.
Is there another Tiger besides me ?:) I am not two individuals all at once.
Those others should flee first to regroup even for counterattack. The two people at the front did covering for them. They could be the ones who took most dangerous fires. Somehow the article did not mention that Lynch did the covering, too. It is possible that she was seriously wounded.
So nobody might have abandoned the battlefield. So nobody might have been a coward. But as I said, this article suggests that the two did more fighting than others.
My operating hyopthesis at this time is that the Hopi woman's story and Jessia's are merged into one story somehow.
