Thanks for the bumps. I believe the issue of the filibustering Democrats must be addressed decisively. This is a fight for majority rule in the Senate and the separation of powers for the three branches of government.

I've watched the Democrats pull out all the stops (after all, to them the end justifies the means even if it includes something that is against the law) every time they lose or are about to lose power. Look what they did in Florida to recount until they would win -- thank God they were stopped! Look what they did in New Jersey when their corrupt candidate was a sure loser -- they rewrote the rules, went to court and prevailed with Lautenberg!

The Democrats continually move the line and then cross it. We must take a firm stand and stop them.

I've been listening to the talking heads on this issue and what I'm hearing is that the GOP filibustered 68 of clinton's nominees. The dims keep insisting that the Repubs did the same thing they are doing. But the Repubs keep claiming that this is the first time in history that this has happened. I would like to know the truth on this. Can you shed any light on the subject? Did the Repubs keep 68 of clintons nominees from coming up for a vote? If so, how did they do it? And how do we answer this accusation?

Unless bold action is taken to break the filibusters, it looks like they'll hold. This is a preview of Supreme Court nominations-to-come. Justices Scalia and Thomas would be filibustered if nominated today.
