Tetovo, 09.05.2003. (Makfax) A missile has been fired late on Thursday from a trench mortar in the village of Ratae, Tetovo region. No casualties or injuries have been reported, said Makfax news agency.
The missile was fired [from the direction of predominently Albanian Trebosh village, according to A1 TV ] late on Thursday at 22:30 and landed just outside the house owned by Toni Trpchevski, but it did not explode. The local residents said the unexploded missile caused minor material damage to the fence of the neighboring house.
Based on preliminary findings of the investigation, this was a cumulative mine, which, fortunately, did not explode. There was no immediate word of identity of perpetrators.
[A1 also reported that a bus which the driver left by the road near now-Albanian dominated Neproshteno village due to engine mailfunction was found this morning completelly demolished.]
Stay tuned to the website for trip notes. I am hoping to put up my little :15 min video clip on the web. It is nothing to look at, bascially it is a boring video tape based on fooling with the camera. Shows entering bosnia, part of Doboj, the Tuzla Serbian church, a birthday party the night I left for the states...:)
