*BREAKING*

Frogs fly and snakes wear size 12 shoes.

Once we find ourselves on the wrong side of the looking glass, no statement can be deemed too outrageous for words.

While I agree with you on all points, I choose to look at this article as progress. I think this may be how change starts.

When you have clerics and imams standing up and saying, "Look, we are not about violence, and it is the duty of every muslim to shun it.", then I think it is good.

I didn't read anything in the article that said, "Islam has NEVER been about violence."

If this generation of islamic kids get taught something other than, "It's okay to murder non-believers, especially American ones." then I say we have about 25 years to go before the middle east joins the rest of the civilized world.

>>>This guy is completely, utterly insane or a world class shameless liar in the extreme. <<<

It's not just "this guy". As a race, or religious group, the Saudi Wahabbi's are without a doubt tops in the bold faced lie department. A good protion of the rest of the Arab world is not far behind. The fundamentalist Wahabbi doctrine is basically "convert or die".

I suggest reading "Kingdom of Hatred" by Dore Gold. He traces Wahabbism from the 1700's to today. My personal opinion is that we are facing a monumental "clash of civilizations" and it will take an unprecidented number of lives to sort out......I just hope America has the will to come out on top. The alternative is bowing to the East 5 times a day....whether you want to or not.

Andak, Catholicism and Lutheranism DID NOT support Nazism. It's adherents were quite capable of doing all their nasty stuff on their own.

What I don't understand is why you did not include all wars in Christian lands since the 1100s. After all, few, if any Arabs actually started or voluntarily engaged in warfare at all since those days ~ remember, the Turks, then the Mongols, conquered most of the Middle East and North Africa and held all Arab nations in economic servitude right up to their liberation by Europeans in the 20th Century!

Any reasonably honest person would have to agree that a millenium of war by Christian Europeans compared to nearly a millenium of no war by Islamic (Christian and Jewish) Arabs is certainly something to think about.

Unfortunately for you there are a number of Balkan sympathizers who are attracted to these threads and they do not care that their problem with the Turks was not really different than the Arab problem with the Turks.

That's probably part of the reason why the Turks found it so easy to conquer the Serbs ~ that the Serbs would rather die than cooperate with "foreigners" against a common enemy.

Al Taqiyah" is the term in arabic, which justifies lying by muslims.

What term justifies lying by non-Muslim bigots?"

There is no justification for lying. Unless of course one follows islam, in which case Al Taqiyah is the religious justification. Which is what I said, and which you failed to refute. So it must be true.

The Shariah considers terrorism one of the most heinous crimes, says Dr. Abdullah Al-Turki, secretary-general of the Makkah-based Muslim World League. “Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and the two do not meet at any point,” he said.

Maybe he can explain then why Mohammed had a woman murdered for singing parody songs about him. He was a terrorist, a caravan-robbing thief, a treaty-breaking backstabber, a murderer and a rapist (conquered non-Muslim women were fair game for rape, and still are today). Aside from that, though, he was against terrorism.
